The Immersion is for anyone wanting to deepen their personal yoga practice. This complete program is divided into three phases that can be taken all at once or individually. Each phase will delve into different principles and practices of Anusara Yoga in a systematized and inspiring way. Asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), meditation and philosophy will all be explored in-depth. Students should be familiar with Anusara yoga to enter this Immersion program. The only other requirement is an open heart and a desire to deepen one’s practice & life. The 100 hour Anusara Yoga Immersion is a prerequisite for Level one Teacher Training with Naime and Sue.
PART 1: OPENING THE HEART

A TIME TO ALIGN: PRENATAL TRAINING WITH SUE
This comprehensive 36 training course is designed for any yoga teacher or enthusiastic student (pregnant students encouraged!) interested in learning and/or teaching the essentials of prenatal yoga throughout pregnancy and birth. The skills gathered during the training will include the principles and philosophy of Anusara® yoga and how they support a woman’s healthy journey into motherhood.
Course Curriculum will include:

• Prenatal nutrition and education
• The different trimesters and how to modify the poses accordingly
• Important things to remember & what to avoid in prenatal yoga

FROM WOMB TO WORLD: TRAINING WITH ANNA
Anna’s part of the training consists of bringing an understanding to how we might still be affected by the way our own conception, pregnancy and birth shaped our lives, learning how to heal from this blueprint and becoming an empowered ‘go-to’ person in the community able to educate pregnant women about all the different aspects of birth.
Sue Elkind is a highly regarded international Anusara yoga teacher, certified in 2001. Her first "birthing experience" was as the founder of a popular yoga studio in West Hollywood, CA, where she built a large community of devoted students.
Sue’s passion for prenatal yoga began in the early 1990’s. She has been featured on the Crunch fitness prenatal yoga video Yoga Mama (2000), Sportskool’s cable network for prenatal yoga, as well as Fit Pregnancy, W Magazine, Spa magazine, and is pictured at 7 months pregnant in the Contact Yoga book with her husband Naime Jezzeny. Sue also helped produce the "Zen Mama with Rainbeau Mars: Prenatal Yoga Workout video."
Naime and Sue hold Anusara yoga workshops, immersions, teacher trainings, and classes at DIG Yoga, their studio in Lambertville, NJ, as well as nationally and internationally. Sue, Naime, and their two sons Luca and Milo are residents of Bucks County, PA
Anna Verwaal, RN, CLE is a Maternal-Child Health Nurse, Birth & Post-Partum Consultant, Labor Doula, UCLA Certified Lactation Educator and photographer. Since 1999 Anna has her own birth consulting, doula service, educating and encouraging couples to heal their own birth trauma and beliefs before conceiving and making informed decisions with regard to their baby’s birth. She attends home-, as well as hospital births.
Currently Anna teaches Prenatal Yoga Instructor and advanced doula trainings and frequently lectures internationally about the cellular memory of our own birth experience and the psychological, physiological, emotional, spiritual and deeply soul stirring aspects of birth.
